Salsa
Ingredients
5 tomatoes, cored and quartered
1 red onion, peeled and quartered
4 garlic gloves, peeled
3 large jalapeños (2 seeded, 1 unseeded)
1/3 cup fresh cilantro
2 limes, squeezed
3 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons honey
Sea salt and pepper, to taste
15-oz crush San Marzano tomatoes
4.5-oz diced green chiles, hot
Serve with homemade plantain chips
Directions
- Put fresh tomatoes, onion, garlic, jalapeños, cumin, honey, salt and pepper into a food processor. Pulse until well blended.
- Add the crushed tomatoes and green chiles. Pulse just a little bit so it remains chunky.
- Add more cumin, salt and pepper, if needed
